We decided to work on a Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 883R, to be presented, in preview, at the Motor Bike Expo 2016 in Verona. We think to improve his sportive look and his dynamic characteristics.

049907: This unit that uses generation 3 Dobeck TFI technology and has several advantages over previous models. With this fuel injection unit mixture adjustment is by means of 3 push buttons on the top face of the controller. Supplied with new simplified instructions. Part for Harley Davidson Sportster 883-1200 07-13 and XR1200.
403910: Adjustable and articulated, brake & clutch levers made entirely in Italy by Bolcato racing with high quality alloy. Micrometer precise screw to adjust lever distance. Pivoted levers that fold away upwards, to reduce chance of breakage in case of crash. Simply pushes back into place.
201206: This kit considerably improves original fork, which has an almost absent hydraulic, into a well controlled, progressive and stable unit. New valve kit, increases front stability, braking characteristics by consenting a perfect control of deceleration even under the hardest braking, it increases the grip entering and exiting a curve thanks to the immediate hydraulic control. You can use original springs and oil.
201213: Suspension riser kit is developed to raise the rear suspension by 58 mm on 04 onwards Harley Davidson Sportster models. Gives more sporty stance and reduces front fork trail for faster steering.

207665: The Tensioner is developed primarily to dampen the belt tensions in deceleration and stress to the wheel bearings and the pinion, maintaining a constant pressure. This particular model is obligatory where you want to lift up the rear, because the increased inclination of the swingarm, generates (inevitably) a difference in dimensional between the belt drive and swingarm extension, only compensated with a bending of the lower branch to belt drive that balances during the excursion of the swingarm. The aim is to extend the life of the belt and the wheel bearings and gearbox, as well as facilitating the smoothness of the secondary transmission and reducing the excessive tension. Maintenance free belt tensioner. For reasons of space it is necessary to modify the exhaust system and the rear brake master cylinder position.

209015: Dashboard plate for Harley Davidson XL Sportster 06 up fuel injection models. Utilises the original speedo, with new billet aluminium surround/bracket incorporating the original warning lights. This model replaces the original bracket for use with original handlebar risers. Supplied with full instructions and everything needed for installation.
The primary is open. Built originally for racing use with our Buell and due to the experience established, we made it also for this H-D Sportster 883. To mount it, we open completely the crankcase with purpose of seal the left case (close the bottom hole “primary-gearbox” plus the hole that hold the two shaft of the shifter forks), and make a hole to drain oil from gear box. Obviously we replace all original bearing with sealed one. It’s also necessary to replace with a sealed ball-bearing the original shifter drum bushing, while we do this we also replace the right bushing that will make the shift gear easier and smoother. With this modification, not only we reduce drastically inertial mass but we can also use a good quality oil on the gearbox without that it get ruined by the dust of the friction plate.
In collaboration with Civico 10, the Pordenone based shop, workshop and garage specialised in Milwaukee based company's bikes and twins, the engine has been increased to 90 inches (which means 1470 cm3). Surely, the Sportster gains some more hp, but the most important thing is that the sports behaviour is enhanced.
The rear has been risen with risers-block and absorbers by Bitubo, to get a cafe racer geometry.The rear fork is CNC machined worked part (still a prototype), specifically realised to host a 200 mm tyre. It is really a good looking at a glance. With this new swingarm, it was necessary to reduce the stress on belt transmission realign fulcrum, pinion and hub with a belt puller.
