Want to raise your rear on Triumph Bonneville?

Read this before…

Assembling the riser kit on the Triumph Bonneville T100/T120 (read this article) you are going to change the geometry of your bike, reducing the trail of the bike and raising up the center of gravity; in this way the bike is going to be faster in the changes of direction and in the narrow streets.

Changing motorcycle’s geometry is not as simple as you could imagine, but the riser measures let you change the trail without damaging the back geometry.

In fact, with these back risers also the inclination of the swingarm will make a change and as a direct consequence the chain pull angle will increase. With this variation, during the normal excursion of the rear suspension, the chain tension will change in a different way from the one that had been designed by the brand.

This problem has been solved with the Free Spirits’ dynamic chain tensioner that you will find included in the riser kit.

This accessory is necessary when you have to assemble the kit, because it balances the chain tension so as to avoid irregularities during the gas opening with different compressions at the rear suspension.

The assembly of the whole kit requires short time and common tools, furthermore every modification is totally reversible as the Free Spirits’ tradition.
